Steering group partner
This is a core group of partners who steer the direction of the overall partnership. It is kept at a maximum of 10 partners to enable decision making. You can see the current Steering Group partners here.
All Steering Group Partners are:
- Organisations working on agroecology Scotland-wide
- Working in equal partnership with farmers, growers and crofters
- Commit to SAP’s vision, governance, and our seven policy asks
- Experienced in agroecology peer-to-peer knowledge exchange or policy and advocacy work.
If your organisation is interested in joining the Steering Group you will need to go through an application process.
The Scottish Agroecology Partnership has four different ways to get involved. These are:

- Supporter
- Pledger
Members
These are the farmers, crofters and growers who are members of any of the Steering Group organisations.
Supporter
Organisations can apply to become a supporter and get involved in SAP’s policy and advocacy and / or outreach and engagement work. To approve supporters, forms will be reviewed by the Steering Group.
All supporters must meet the following criteria:
- Be an organisation working on agroecology in Scotland and work in equal partnerships with farmers, growers and crofters
- Commit to SAP’s vision, governance, and our seven policy asks
- Have experience in farming / crofting peer-to-peer knowledge exchange or policy and advocacy work
- Have availability to attend regular meetings and carry out assigned responsibilities within agreed timeframes
- Commit to promoting SAP in your own work including with farmers, crofters, growers and policy makers.
Supporters' logos will be displayed on the SAP website.
Pledgers
Pledgers are individuals or organisations who support our policy asks and share their contact information with us to be kept in the loop about development and opportunities to contribute. Their logos will not be displayed on our website.
