Steering group partner
This is a core group of partners which is selected and kept at a maximum of 10 to enable decision making. The current Steering Group partners are: LWA, SA, Propagate, SCF, PFL, NFFN, RBST and Nourish Scotland (eight).
All Steering Group Partners must:
- Be an organisation working on agroecology in Scotland and work in equal partnership with farmers, growers and crofters
- Commit to SAP’s vision, governance, and our seven policy asks
- Have experience in agroecology peer-to-peer knowledge exchange or policy and advocacy work
- Attend regular meetings and give appropriate time between meetings to deliver agreed work programmes and provide occasional assistance to the project manager as required
- Take an active role in identifying opportunities to promote the partnership at all levels of their work including with farmers, crofters, growers and policy makers.
- Work Scotland-wide
- Signpost relevant funding opportunities to the project manager and contribute to application writing.
Any new organisations wishing to join the Steering Group will need to go through an application process with the current partners.
In 2025 we did not accept any new Steering Group members given that we are already funded and the work is planned until the end of this year.
In 2026 we will open up the opportunity for new members to join the Steering Group.
Members
These are the farmers, crofters and growers who are members of any of the Steering Group partners.
Supporter
Any organisation can apply to become a SAP supporter by completing a form. To approve supporters, forms will be reviewed in the bi-monthly Steering Group meetings.
All supporters must meet the following criteria:
- Be an organisation working on agroecology in Scotland and work in equal partnerships with farmers, growers and crofters
- Commit to SAP’s vision, governance, and our seven policy asks
- Experience in farming / crofting peer-to-peer knowledge exchange or policy and advocacy work
- Availability to attend regular meetings and carry out assigned responsibilities within agreed timeframes
- Commit to promoting SAP in your own work including with farmers, crofters, growers and policy makers.
Supporters' logos will be displayed on the SAP website and they will have the option of joining a working group. If they decide to join a working group they will need to have availability to attend required meetings and carry out responsibilities within agreed timeframes.
Pledgers
Pledgers are individuals or organisations who support our policy asks and share their contact information with us to be kept in the loop about development and opportunities to contribute. Their logos will not be displayed on our website.
The Scottish Agroecology Partnership has four different ways to get involved. These are:
