Scottish Agroecology Partnership (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a consortium of the following eight organisations (the “Consortium Members”), who jointly determine how your personal data is processed for communication purposes, including newsletters:

  2. Landworkers Alliance
  3. Nature Friendly Farming Network
  4. Nourish Scotland
  5. Pasture for Life
  6. Propagate
  7. Scottish Crofting Federation
  8. Soil Association Scotland

We take your privacy seriously and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable laws.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you subscribe to our newsletter through agroecology.scot 

1. What data we collect When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect:

  • Email address (required)
  • Name and organisation (required)
  • Location and postcode (required)

We may also collect:

  • IP address and device information (via cookies or analytics)
  • Information on whether emails are opened and which links are clicked (tracking pixel).

2. Why we use your data We use your data to:

  • Send you Scottish Agroecology Partnership newsletters and project updates.
  • Analyse performance (open rates, click rates)
  • Improve our communication and website experience.

3. Legal basis for processing Your data is processed based on:

  • Consent for receiving newsletters (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

  • Until you unsubscribe, or
  • Until the consortium project ends (unless you consent to continued communication).

  • Delete your data (“Right to be Forgotten”)
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability.

10. Joint controller arrangement

The Consortium Members have a joint controller agreement under Article 26 GDPR, defining roles and responsibilities. You may request an overview by contacting us.

We may update this policy. The latest version will always be available at agroecology.scot
